I bought DocSetu. How do I install it on my new phone?

Sign in to the new phone with the same Google account and install DocSetu from Google Play. You won't be charged again. Your business profile comes across only if Android backup was on; otherwise add it again in a minute.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases go through Google Play, so refunds do too: open the order in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history) and request a refund, or see Google Play's refund help. If something isn't working, email us first. We'd rather fix it.

Where are my files saved?

PDFs and text files go to Download/DocSetu, and converted or redacted photos go to Pictures/DocSetu. Open them from any file manager, or from the Recent list on DocSetu's home screen.

How do I add my logo, signature and stamp?

Tap the shop icon at the top right of the home screen to open Business profile. Tap the logo or stamp box to pick an image, or the signature box to draw one. For a stamp, photograph your rubber stamp on plain white paper.

Why does my invoice show IGST instead of CGST and SGST?

IGST applies when the customer's state (place of supply) differs from yours. DocSetu compares your GSTIN's state code with the customer's state, or their GSTIN. Check the State field on both your business profile and the customer.

The UPI QR code is missing from my invoice.

Add your UPI ID in Business profile → Payments, and make sure "UPI scan-to-pay QR" is switched on in the invoice's More section. Quotations and estimates don't carry a payment QR.

Scan to PDF says it needs Google Play services.

The scanner is part of Google Play services. Update Google Play services from the Play Store and try again; the first scan may take a moment while it downloads.

HEIC photos won't convert.

HEIC needs Android 10 or newer with HEIF support, which most phones have. If a file still fails, it may be damaged; try exporting it again from the sender.

Text recognition got some words wrong.

Try the other language option (English & Latin, or Hindi / Marathi + English), and use a sharper, well-lit scan. Recognition happens offline on your phone, so quality depends on the image.

A PDF won't open.

Password-protected PDFs can't be opened yet. Remove the password in the app that created it, or ask the sender for an unlocked copy.

Deleting your data

DocSetu has no account and we hold no data about you, so there's nothing to request from us. Everything lives on your phone:

  • A business profile: Business profile → the menu at the top → Delete this business.
  • A saved signature: in Sign PDF → Signature, tap the × on the signature.
  • Everything the App stores: Android Settings → Apps → DocSetu → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the App.
  • Documents you saved: delete them from Download/DocSetu and Pictures/DocSetu in your file manager.
  • Android backup: if backup is on, remove DocSetu's backup in your Google account's backup settings.
