The short version
- Your documents never leave your phone because of us. Editing, signing, merging, compression, redaction, OCR and invoice/letter generation all run on the device.
- We collect no personal data. No account, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics or tracking SDK, and no server of ours that receives your files. Google Play handles your purchase.
- Two Google components run on your phone: the ML Kit text recognition library and the Google Play services document scanner. They process images on the device; Google may receive anonymous usage and diagnostic data from them, described below.
- If you turn on Android's backup to your Google account, your business profile and saved signatures can be included in that backup.
1. Who we are
DocSetu (the "App", Android package com.docsetu.app) is made by TorqueTrail ("we", "us"), Ambad-Trimurti link road, Nashik 422010, Maharashtra, India. This policy covers the App and this website, docsetu.torquetrail.online. For the TorqueTrail app, see the TorqueTrail Privacy Policy.
2. Information we collect
None through the App. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share personal information, the documents you work on, or information about how you use the App. The only information we receive about you is the limited order information Google Play provides when you buy the App (section 6). The App has no account system, no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDK, and no backend server of ours.
3. What the App stores on your phone
To be useful, the App keeps some information in its private storage on your device. We cannot see any of it.

Documents you save go to Download/DocSetu and Pictures/DocSetu on your phone, where you control them like any other file. Uninstalling the App, or clearing its storage in Android Settings, deletes everything in the table above. Files you saved to Downloads or Pictures stay until you delete them.
4. Files you open
The App reads only the files you pick with Android's file or photo picker, scan with the document scanner, or share into the App. It asks for no storage permission and cannot browse your files on its own.
5. Google components
ML Kit text recognition
"Extract text", searchable scans and redaction's Auto-find use Google's ML Kit text recognition, with the recognition models bundled inside the App. Images are processed on your device and are not sent to Google. ML Kit may contact Google to receive updates and may send Google anonymous metrics about API usage and performance (for example device type, App version and processing time), as described in Google's ML Kit terms.
Google Play services document scanner
"Scan to PDF" opens Google's document scanner, which runs inside Google Play services on your phone. It uses the camera itself, so DocSetu does not request camera permission, and it returns only the finished scan to the App. Google Play services may download the scanner module the first time you use it. Its handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Buying the App
DocSetu is a paid app sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never receive your card, UPI or bank details. Google gives developers limited order information through the Play Console, such as an order number, the purchase date, the price paid, the country and the order status, which we use only for accounting, tax and refund requests. The App does not check purchases itself or contact us about them. See the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.
7. Android backup
If you have Android's backup to your Google account turned on, Android may include the App's business profiles, saved customers and saved signature/logo/stamp images in that backup, so they come back when you set up a new phone. Working copies of documents are never backed up. Backups are stored by Google in your Google account, under Google's privacy policy, and we cannot access them. You can turn backup off in Android Settings.
8. Permissions
The App asks for no sensitive permissions: no location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage access. It declares:
- Internet and network state: used by the Google components above (module downloads and their anonymous metrics). The App itself never uploads your documents.
9. Sharing documents
When you tap Share, Android's share sheet sends the file to the app you choose (for example WhatsApp or email). That app's own privacy policy then applies. We are not involved.
10. This website
docsetu.torquetrail.online is a static website with no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts. It is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data such as IP addresses in its logs to deliver the pages and protect against abuse. If you email us, we use your email only to reply.
11. Children
The App is a productivity tool for adults and businesses. It is not directed at children under 18, and because we collect no personal data we do not knowingly collect any from children.
12. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. You control the data on your phone (delete it in the App, uninstall, or clear storage) and anything in your Google account. If you have any question or concern, write to us and we'll help.
13. Changes
If the App ever starts collecting data, we will update this policy before that change ships and say so in the App's release notes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
